ISIS is run by the Durham University Parent-Infant Sleep Lab along with members of the La Leche League, NCT, and UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative.

The aim of ISIS is to provide online access to up-to-date research based evidence about infant sleep, in forms which are accessible to parents and health professionals, supported by references to research relevant to families in the UK.

They required a new identity, promotional materials and web design for this new venture. A set of sleeping baby characters were created as the supporting imagery.

Utterly Forked

Utterly Forked (Andrew Taylor) provides Unix support.

Andrew explains where the name comes from: ‘The name in computing terms, is when you want to achieve some parallelism in your workflow, you ‘fork’ a child process, many child processes can run concurrently and reduce the time needed to complete a task.’

This forking process is shown in the identity for an eye catching, but simple design. Andrew works online so he wanted a blog style website to keep people updated, show his services and case studies along with business cards for networking.

Blue Tokay

Blue Tokay is an exhibitions company specialising in the display of natural history.

For an upcoming exhibition they are using QR codes which link to the iPad web app created for high school children. The web app has explanations of the animals in the exhibition along with asking them questions. The design is clean and simple, in keeping with their website and Iain Potter has developed the app.

After gaining worldwide exposure for our web-based software, 1DayLater, we realised that we were desperately short a set of design hands. Having been been impressed with Amy’s previous work, we asked if she could create some simple background images for 1DayLater that would change to represent the different seasons of the year. Gilsan Sports are country clothing, footwear and shooting accessory specialists based in Yorkshire, UK.

Working with Root Solutions as their designer I was challenged to redesign the existing site to give it a more modern and clean style. Decorative patterns were used within the site to link with the country clothing eg. the paisley site background along with other patterns on the call to actions. The headers use illustrations of the outdoors to evoke the feeling of the English countryside. View the site >

Pundits Predict

Pundits Predict is a new website that looks at pundits in the media who make predictions and records whether they were right or wrong.

Working with Bolsover Networks I designed the identity and website. The identity reflects that the site is a bit of fun with a bold colour palette and chunky typeface. The icon is based on a thought bubble which is used to make up the sky in the site’s background. I Love TV

I Love TV are a new online store in Australia selling DVD and Blu-ray titles.

I worked with RyanFosterDesign as their designer for the new identity. The client already had an idea that they wanted a retro TV to be one of the designs which is shown in the concept work. The second concept created focussed on the ‘love’ part of the name which became the chosen identity. The typeface used is distinctive and the icon created combines the key elements of the company name.
